Our search for the hidden parts of reality continues, ad infinitum. We are given mere glimpses of those things that otherwise remain unseen, just as we are given a rudimentary and, for lack of a better word, inaccurate view of the tesseract we simply cannot see it.įinally, while I concede that what we see is real, that I am really typing on a computer, which sits on a desk in my room, and so on, I do not believe that what I see is all of reality. Just as a two-dimensional being might not be able to make sense of a three-dimensional object, perhaps our minds cannot make sense of those things unseen, those which exist in an elevated state of being. If we compare our understanding of a human soul to the tesseract, we might see similarities in the way they are seen from our limited, three-dimensional, crude perspective. Robert Baron describes spiritual beings, as existing in s “higher pitch of being”. We might say that the three-dimensional being is of a “higher pitch of being”.įr. A three-dimensional being could not exist within two-dimensional space. We might compare this to a two-dimensional being whose brain has developed to order two-dimensional space. I’m not sure the human mind can grasp the concept of something in our world being so small and fundamental that it exists in one dimension.Ĭannot exist within three-dimensional space because we do not have the dimension to support it. Strings are thought to oscillate in one-dimension. While the tesseract can be projected into three-dimensional space, it To us, the cube just looks as though it is folding in on itself. However, given something like a tesseract, a four-dimensional cube, we suddenly run into a problem. If we take for example a regular three-dimensional cube, we have no issue with the spatial organization of the lines, hollows, vertices, angles, and so on because we understand space as consisting of three dimensions. Rather, I think that what we perceive is really real, albeit perhaps a small portion of what is really real, but real nonetheless.

I do not concede that what we perceive is a mere ordering of something else, something of which we can know nothing. All we can see is what our minds allow us to see. He will maintain that our minds make sense of what we intuit, but we can have no knowledge of what actually comprises reality. While I do not necessarily agree with most of Kant’s ideas, I don’t think he is too far off the mark in this case. Kant proposes that our brains developed together, through human evolution, and thus we all order things in the same way, according to these a priori laws. Our minds are built to make sense of the world according to certain a priori laws, such as that which states that no more than three lines can intersect at a 90 degree angle in three-dimensional space. At the end the young future diplomates leave not with awards but beautiful moments that they cherish throughout their lifetime and have stories to tell.Consider the nature of the human mind with regard to its method of ordering what we call reality. It is the hope of actually finding the solution to the global problems, the hope of shaping oneself into leader of tomorrow, the hope for an introvert to gain confidence in himself/herself in the intellectually challenging but comforting atmosphere.

Though its an event of intense debate, discussion and getting resolutions passed, at Agnel’s we ensure it’s a debate of hope. Here the SPARK within each individual is ignited. SPARK MUN is not just a conference but an enlightening experience of a lifetime, a hallmark what big hearts and brave minds can do. Just infinite concern is not enough, so at SPARK MUN it is made sure that every idea that blooms is spread across the nation and the world and they make a difference Here students are provided a platform to explore the endless chasm of knowledge and chase the answers to all the infinite global concerns that the youth come across viz war, racism, poverty, crumbling economies, environmental crises, health issues, women empowerment, etc. The SPARK MUN logo depicts ‘Ad infinitum et ultra’ meaning- “to infinity and beyond”. At Agnel’s MUN has been conducted for several years at intra and inter school levels.
